Ruin - an Unreal Technology CTF level

A project from my first year of university, in which we had to make a capture-the-flag (CTF) map using Unreal Development Kit for Unreal Engine 3.

Certainly not the first map I've ever made for a game, but my first time using Unreal Technology.

Not so different from other construction kits I've used, but obviously far more flexible.

At this point we have not been taught how to make our own models or any of the more complicated things, but we have a host of default meshes to use from the original Unreal Tournament 3 game.

I'm pretty used to that from my days of modding. Turning a box into a ramp if a ramp doesn't exist in the list and so on. Certainly not the standard of AAA games, but for me at this point it's not a reason to skimp on detail.
